How good is this fight? Does any of you know the styles and gameplan they normaly use? How would you analise this fight?
Yes -- he is an Aussie, and current holder of the IBO title. Abraham's people offered him a fight, but Geale's team said he wasn't ready for AA. I think the fact that he is fighting Mundine tells us something about where Mundine stands in the over all picture at 160.
Does Geale have a glass chin, I checked on boxrec and he has been floored quite a number of times in his career so far, against less than stellar opposition.
I'm looking forward to being there, hopefully to see mundane lose so boxers like The Raging Bull or Katisdis getting more media time.
I haven't seen Mundine fight in 2 years. The last time was when he schooled green. I was impressed then.He was only boxing for a couple years. He switched from rugby to boxing and did well.I seen Geale a couple of time, he ain't all that. Mundine is the more talented este faster boxer but he's on his last years in the sport.
Mundine could have done far more than he did. He will never beat Kessler, but that should not discourage him. Having Kessler as a target (and then not wanting the fight when it was offered to him) has screwed him over. He should have moved on and fought many other good fighters, of which he could have beaten many.
Mundine gets way to much respect on ESB and people act like he is a threat to any top fighter. He is famous for looking good against C level fighters beating a shot Echols and getting KTFO by Otkke.
Mundine has declined alot in terms of punching power, speed and reflexes as of late. He is also starting to get cut, something that never used to happen to him (think how RJJ V Calzaghe got cut for the first time thanks to ageing). He still probably has enough to beat Daniel Geale, but there may be an upset, dont rule it out. Anthony at his best i give a good chance of beating Felix Sturm, but these days he loses to Pavlik, Abraham and Sturm. Too old (nearly 34) and too much time wasted.
