so you think the wraps had no basis for complaint? and you dont think its suss that Green was a massive underdog yet a tone of people placed bets for him to KO Jones in 1 round, not to mention alot of people in Sydney said the fix was in.

Look i don't know what happen, i can only go off what ive read, seen and been told but i do know that something was not right for that fight, be it loaded gloves or Roy was paid to take a dive. If Mundine knocks out Mosley i bet you will have people say the exact same.

Hopkins couldn't knock out Roy yet you want me to belive that Green did it legit? Roy has come out for a few fights without any sweat on him and he hasn't had problems before and he faced much better opponents than Danny Green.

If the wraps set like Plaster of Paris when they got wet would you then agree that Green had loaded gloves? :hey

I didn't know there was a ton of bets for a round 1 KO on the Green-RJJ fight. I know there was for Green-Briggs but that was an obvious dive. Nard hasn't KO'D anyone since ODLH at MW he wins fights through ring smarts and stratetic fighting studying his opponents style and neutralising their strengths and exploiting their weaknesses. He has 0 KO's at the higher weights.
I just think Green hit Roy with a punch that landed in the right spot behind the ear that dropped him, dazed him and early enough in the round that he couldn't survive until the minute break between rounds. Ishida did it to the undefeated Kirkland and he had a low KO ratio. Green landed a perfectly placed punch IMO.

The hand wraps crap was all rjj being a sook cause he got caught early, it was also held onto by the blind haters that look for any excuse to take credibility away from a win.
I am no green fan, but calling it as it is

Had they just come up with it after the fight, id kinda be incline to agree however the fight almost didn't go ahead because of the wraps. In the end all one really needs to do in order to put the wraps issue to bed is purchase a box of the gauze that was used, wet it and see if it hardens.

The Hopkins vs RJJ fight was apparently conditional of Jones winning against Green so this is why the wraps story may have been pushed so hard but like i said, it wasn't something they just plucked from thin air. Now Jones has been quoted on record after the fight saying that Greens stalling tactics worked or something along those lines, Jones wasn't made aware of the wraps issue the night of the fight and his camp had told him Green wasn't ready or some story like that while they were trying to sort it out on the night there was an extensive pre-fight delay due to a hand wrap protests, im not sure when exactly Jones was made aware of the wraps issue but given he mentions the stalling tactics the day after the fight id have to assume it wasn't until a few days after the fight that he was actually told about it.

Green was also sued by RJJ and settled out of court.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Pensacola by Jones' Square Ring Inc. and names Green Machine Boxing, Green v. Jones PTY LTD and Green himself as defendants. The Lawsuit was alleging the following.

    1. Green used illegal hand wrappings
    2. Green refused to allow Jones to invoke the rematch clause in the contract
    3. Green's company owes Jones an unspecified amount of money from the bout.

I think it was BS from Roy to salvage the Hopkins rematch. Type ''Roy Jones jr undergoing experimental treatment for possible brain damage'' into google.
That was after the Green and Hopkins fight he's since brutally KO'd by Lebedev. Didn't need loaded gloves IMO Roy was damaged goods.
