Pavlik Vs Mundine possible for September? I got this article via email. Thought it may interest you:

"While such a rumour would have been immediately dismissed by the boxing world 2 weeks ago. There is increasing talk about Kelly Pavlik fighting Anthony Mundine in Las Vegas in September. The romour has taken this boxing blog and every other boxing site by shock.

While there has been no media release or confirmation by either fighters managers just yet, it remains a growing possibility!

    Reasons Why:

    - Paul Williams is asking for to much money, reportedly $2.5 million US, to fight Pavlik at MW. Mora has also priced himself out of the fight. Arum seems intent on fighting Winky at a later date, with Winky possibly wanting a warm up/tune up fight, as he hasn't fought for over 12 months. Pavlik fans seem unhappy about a possible fight with John Duddy, who is being compared to Gary Lockett, AKA another mismatch.

We are not sure how correct this is yet, or whether a deal has been struck. But by interpreting news from recent months, a fight between Pavlik and Mundine makes more sense. In April, Mundine stated he is looking for fights against the big name Americans such as "Kelly Pavlik, Jermain Taylor and Winky Wright". Pavlik will be able to keep an absolute majority of the purse, probably profiting around $4 million dollars. Whereas Mundine may still make more than he did against Soliman in the 3rd fight, even if he takes a minor 20% of the purse against Pavlik. (Making this deal much more attractive to Mundine, is the possibility for channel 10 in Australia to show the fight, as they seem intent on showing more Australian based fights and will be showing Klitschko vs Tony Thompson from next Sunday).

We are unsure how true the romours are, or if there is any truth at all to a possible fight between Pavlik and Mundine. It could be the match up all of Australia has deserved to watch for years! Or it could prove to be total fabrication!

    Only time will tell!

And Pavlik may indeed give "The Mans" career a lifeline!"

Give it up. Surely by now we have all learnt our lesson with Mundine. He will not be fighting Pavlik.

    Let's set things straight.

Mundine and team have been busting a gut trying to get this fight for October but there's so many obstacles to overcome that no one wants to even think positive for fear of killing the dream.

Because Pavlik is so hot, it has appeared unlikely so they put the feelers out to other well known fighters in the US, and for a while there was a slight hope that Jermain Taylor or Winky Wright could come to the party but that died a quick death thanks to their promoters wanting to cash in before their fighters set off into the sunset.

With limited opportunities (as usual) heads turned towards Danny Green due to his recent champion status with the WBC. They also sought out certain contenders among the same organisation where I've been told Krazy Kim holds a ranking, although I can't find him in the WBC's listings anywhere.

Now that's as far as I go.

If Khoder has somehow got through to Pavlik's people then I'm extremely happy for him because I know how badly he has wanted to step up and fight the best, just like I've been telling all you Negative Noddy's all along. That said, I know how promoters of champions like to throw around names in an attempt to force other promoters to cough up more cash.

If this fight happens, it will be massive. I reckon people (boxing and general sports fans alike) would prefer Mundine v Pavlik than Mundine v Green II.

Lets hope these rumours turn true and come September / October it's on.

Danny Green won the WBC interim title against Eric Lucas and challenged Beyer for the WBC belt twice. I just expected that fighting for a light heavyweight title would have happend with the organisation in which he was ranked so highly....and that includes light heavy as Danny Green was ranked a contender in that division by the WBC as soon as he announced his step up from super middleweight.

I guess that's where I got that from.

    Shiner = Knob Polisher

Wow, huge call, way to back yourself. :-(

Truth is that you and a few other chronic masturbators that frequent this website (almost as often as you all frequent the mens toilets at local poofter haunts) have been constantly stimulating one another with negative hype surrounding Mundine's recent opponents.

With fingers up arseholes you all work in tandem, telling anyone that'll listen how Mundine will never take the big fights and that he is happy fighting "bums". To prove yourselves credible you add that "should Mundine ever do the unthinkable I'll dispose of my long time inflatable soul mate and tatto my forehead "HIV Positive", etc, etc, blah blah blah....." :yep

Yet when the unthinkable finally does happen in the not to distant future, all we'll get is the same dysfunctional ******s like Shiner the Knob Polisher, Francis 75, IrnBruMan and Co. licking the **** off one another's fingers, talking about how it doesn't matter now for whatever stink'n reason because all that matters to them is keeping the focus away from how ****ed up their lives really are. :err

NOW FOR THE BET. Sure, odds still are against Mundine securing a fight v Pavlik but it's not through his lack of effort. Anyway, should the fight fail to eventuate I'll by you a new blow up doll.

If it does go ahead I'll be content in the knowlegde that you're soon to die the painfull death that most AIDS sufferers do. :smooch

but remember teke, for mundine to get to his own nuts, he'll have to pry them from barry michael chin. surely by now their hair has entangled?????
