Just goes to show what Al is doing to monopolise boxing, Mundine, if he signed and won his bout vs Trout, would have no choice in his next bout, all in the hands of a dictator who is supposedly just an advisor. Haymon wants to control fighters that aren't under his jurisdiction. How can you expect a fighter to sign a contract like that?

The same way that Timothy Bradley had to sign an extension to fight Pacquaio and how Arum wanted Chavez Jr. to sign and extension to fight GGG. Oh, how forgetful we become when our hate blinds us, Ghost.

Alot of boxers (or boxer's teams, managers, promoters, etc) sign contracts that state that if they win or lose the opponent's promoter has an option clause on said boxer.

Look at K2 back when Vitali and Wladimir were both fighting, if you defeated one, your contract stated you have to face the other brother.

    Very common procedure in boxing...!!!

Bradley and Chavez were Top Rank fighters. Mundine is an Australian living in Oz who never fought for Haymon and shouldn't be forced to.

Marquez was never signed to Top Rank and he had to do what Arum wanted.

Marquez was/is signed to Top Rank, although perhaps he wasn't in the beginning.

That's a better example than Bradley/Chavez however, two wrongs do not make a right. It's a negative practice for the sport.

Samething every promoter does. They ask for options on future fights. Are you new to the sport?

They don't though, it's only some of them, some of the time.

Is Haymon a promoter now? I thought he was supposed to be a manager...violating the Ali Act...

He isnt asking to promote his next fight, he wants options. To my understanding haymon doesnt have a promoter license anyway. What is he in violation of?

The contract was said to have had no information on who the next fighter would be, where it would be,or how much he was to get paid, Anthony Mundine isn't that desperate & isn't obligated to sign a crooked deal like that. if it stated he would face someone ranked higher different story. People mightn't think anything wrong is being done, but both fighters wanted the fight bad, it's a **** stain on the sport when politics takes over, wastes people's time & gives fans the ****s

Haymon is Trouts advisor, not his manager or promoter, maybe in disguise.
