I knew Mundines dirty mouth would cause him problems sooner or later.

On a more serious note, does anybody actually believe this ****? It is probably just another excuse from Mundine, so he can take a "comeback" fight against some Argentinian cabdriver.:roll:

 

Mundine's boxing future in doubt

THE CAREER of champion Australian boxer Anthony Mundine is in doubt because of a serious eye infection.

The WBA super middleweight champion and former rugby league star is in a Sydney hospital and is suffering from limited vision, the Nine Network reported tonight.

After a standard operation last week, Mundine's left eye reportedly became infected over the weekend after he removed a protective contact lens at a restaurant and cleaned it using his mouth.

Mundine re-entered the hospital yesterday and at one stage feared he may have to lose the eye.

"I feared the worst, I feared I could lose the eye," Mundine said.

Mundine also feared for his boxing career.

"I just felt that maybe this it for me," he said.

"The doctor said it could be weeks, could be months for the natural healing process to take place."

Mundine, renowned for his self-promotion and outspoken nature, admitted the experience had genuinely scared him.

"You put yourself in that situation and you think you're going to lose an eye, or a lot of your sight.

"You'd definitely be scared too, especially if you're 'The Man' Mundine."

 

Looks like he will be better around the Joe VS Kess fight.....just in time to make his next move without having to fight a cab driver or take a chance over the next few months......sounds like win win for Mundine.

 

He just seems to have the most action packed life..Always some kind of drama or bull**** going's on in his life...

 

not a smart move cleaning a contact lens with your mouth. There is a reason they come to you sterile, need to store them in sterile solutions, and require regular cleaning and disinfecting!!

 

Mundines death will be seen as a publicity stunt by some people. It says a lot about you people. As human beings.

Na look that was stupid but i woulnd't be shocked if that was true either but from reading things it sounds like nothing more then a setback for a few weeks.
