Aboriginals served in all wars from the Boer war up until Afghanistan today.

technically he has the right to do so, but only due to people dying in wars to preserve that. He's too ****ing stupid to understand the concept of Remembrance Day though.

Remembrance Day is not a political view . . . Anthony is a very uneducated person . . . Im not trying to be mean but i can see when he trys to speak well, put sentences together, he isnt educated very well . . . Mundine, you and everyone else can say what they wish about the war or wars, that is not the point . . . My opinion on the World Wars and other wars such as Vietnam is, Australians were not fighting for our country because at the end of the day we were not under any direct attack . . . But these guys are soldiers who fought, whether they wanted to or not and that demands the respect of everybody, whether you agreed with the war or not . . . Anthonys disresepct of these people just to get PPV numbers up is ridiculous and he should be ashamed for using remembrance day to hype a fight.

 

I see what your saying but you have to understand, people just dont "fight for the sake of it" . . . During the days of World War I and II, conscription still existed . . . You didnt choose to fight, you were told to . . . Are you saying that you, Anthony or whoever, have no respect for the Australians and Indeginous Australians that fought and died in those wars because you didnt agree with the particular cause of the war?

Regardless of what he thinks of this country's current status, remembrance day is about paying respect to the many thousands of Australians who died protecting our shores, albeit in foreign lands.

Mundine obviously doesn't know enough about it to even realise what a disrespectful ***** he's being by saying **** like this - that's what's annoying.

Plus the fact that he's saying it a day before his fight should make it pretty bloody obvious that he's just looking for some last minute publicity, so I doubt very much if he has strong views on what remembrance day is about anyway.

I wonder if he realises that if it weren't for all of our diggers dying over the last century, it'd be the Japanese or even the Indonesian flag he'd be burning in his crap music video - and he'd probably get his ****ing head cut off by the government for doing so.

And people like yourself will always be refugees in a strange land, as you don't understand what makes Australia tick. The people who care about our diggers, young men who died for our country and to protect our very freedoms you so easily take for granted (your freedom of speech for instance)- are the soil and backbone of the country. They came here as convicts and settlers, and founded what is considered the greatest country in the world.

These people and the like, the ones who care enough to stand up for their ancestors and other's ancestors who died for us are what makes this country great. You can knock it all you like, you are not from their cloth, and can never really know what it's like to be part of a proud land and call yourself Australian.

You'll forever be an outsider, you can call yourself Australian while the true blue Aussies will laugh in your spiteful face, spewing forth your hatred and ignorance for a land that doesn't accept or need your weak attitude.

Australian's are good people at heart- that's why you don't fit in here...maybe you'd be better off in a land fueled by backwards religious wars and governed by sexist/bigoted peoples. When you have a problem then you can just stone someone.

As for me, I'm proud to be Australian and thank every man who has picked up a weapon and fought for our privileges.:good

 

I don't have a problem with what Mundine said, i don't believe in patriotism or rituals. I'm a part of the world and i believe in people having a choice, nobody has to remember something that doesn't resonate with them.
