The great gloves off documentary got me thinking on which of mundine's great fights was his best so far.
It was a good docco and I was thinking the same thing. I put Green down as the size of the fight and the build up was huge.....and his win was so clean. Soloman was his best punching win.... Kessler fight I gave him lots of credit for taking after choc lost to siaca and then choc watched kess smash Siaca then choc agrees to fight Kess Echols fight was great for the WT :hi:
Circus Mundine have become a lot more " Rat Cunning " since the Kessler fight. There's no way they'll ever make a match up mistake like that again.
i picked the Green fight.Green had won all but 4 of his fights by KO.and with the Beyer fights he was rorted in the first and i believe fought too cautiously in the second fearing another disqualification.Green had amateur experience and Mundine schooled him with ease.Soliman was good.he was expected to win but the manner in which he beat the awkward Soliman was impressive.too bad he didnt up his opponent level after that who knows how he would have done.oh well stiff ****.
His appearance on 'Wheel of Fortune' when he asked to buy a vowel, and chose 'C'. True story. Awe inspiring.
My favourite performance was Choc lounging back on a sofa dressed in gangsta gear and fanning himself with a fistfull of $50 bills while telling the interviewer that Kathy Freeman had let down the aboriginal people and gone over to the corporate side. Oscar winning stuff.
