Mundraby has the potential but looks to be underdone for this one. He's had two fights since 9/3/12 for 16rds boxed. While in the same period Galahad has had six fights for six wins and 52rds boxed. His most recent fight was over 12rds on 22/3/14. The Cairns Post reports that Mundraby won't have a cornerman but his Pastor will travel to the UK with him. Maybe between the two of them they can conjure up a miracle. Good luck Fred. :good
Fred is quite capable levelling a number of guys way above his weight, but due to weight difference, fight would never be allowed
Is there a weight division Fred hasn't fought in? One minute he's a super flyweight. Next he's fighting for a super bantam Commonwealth title.
He might've copped racial **** from time to time, as do some footy players in the heat of the moment, which he hasn't forgotten. IMO, scribe should've left that out
I doubt that. Fred is a low key sort of a bloke 'til he gets into the ring. Scribe might've put words in his mouth to make it decent size article.
Fred's ability ain't a concern, but possible media hounding would be. It ain't high profile fight, but even if it was, if I travelled with him I'd limit its access to him 'cos he tends to be uncomfortable in big smoke environment.
Fred flys under the radar, that's the way he likes it. Good luck to Fred, fingers crossed, hope he does it.
Lets hope that was the case , Sheffield is one of the more cosmopolitan cities we have here in the UK & i doubt very much he will experience any of that racist bollocks there ,Hope he enjoys the experience of visiting the steel city and fights to his ability , Good luck to the kid . :good
Everyone knocks aussie boxers for padding records and fighting stiffs and when someone steps it up and has a go they knock them again. We need to support these blokes going overseas or our boxing will never improve .
"Seconds Out" reports that Mundraby was outclassed retiring after the 4th round. Off topic. G'day Josey, I noticed Lee Selby fights a Mexican in Cardiff next weekend with the winner possibly getting a title shot against Jhonny Gonzalez. Selby should win this but Gonzalez is another story.
