What are your thoughts on this matchup in say 2 years. Give Mungia time to hone his craft a bit. I guess it would be at 168.
Canelo would rip him apart like a mexican steak right now. He might only KO him in 2 years. Munguia has heart and power but he's vulnerable to being outboxed and he's easy to hit. Canelo probably has the Munguia fight as his retirement plan.
Perhaps but I like a fighter with a little dog in them. He will put up a better fight than Fielding, Smith, Yilidrim etc. Kid deserves a payday like Canelo can give him and at least you know he’ll actually try and win.
He'll always bring a very gung ho and madly entertaining style so I'd always welcome him in a top level matchup. The only fallback is that a guy like Canelo should take him apart and it'd take a monstrous effort to upend the streak he's on.
I would like to see him vs Szeremeta first. The way he struggled vs Dennis Hogan makes me weary. My first thought is hell no.
Canelo would win.. Probably not by KO as its not Canelos style... All I'll say is at least I believe Munguia would come to win unlike most of Canelo's doss opponents
