Remember how GGG looked against Canelo Alvarez, he looked like he was fighting in slow motion.

If Golden boy thought GGG was a winnable fight they would have been all over it. It would be a repeat of Bivo and Zurich but with a GGG KO

If I recall the GGG team wanted the fight but NSAC killed it. We will never know if Munguia team would have excepted the fight. Before there were any negotiation it was killed.

By Jim Maltzman: Oscar De La Hoya says Golden Boy Promotions are in “serious negotiations for a fight between Jaime Munguia and Gennadiy Golovkin for a match that could take place in the first half of 2021. De La Hoya describes the negotiations as “promising,” and he’s highly optimistic he can get this fight made for DAZN.

I think I would have happened although back then G all the way

The NSAc thing was way before 2021? Wasn't it when GGG was looking for a short notice replacement? Something like a month to get a fight? I could be wrong but I thouht it was rejected because it was short noticed and Munguia was to green in 2018.

    You where correct sir but
"A deal was actually reached for the fight between Munguia and Golovkin - but the Nevada State Athletic Commission put a stop to the contest" .

Munguia is not very good at all. I really don't understand why he's even in these discussions.......he's a tier below everyone he gets mentioned with

G looks old and washed at this point. Time for Mungo to strike.

I think he's too old and slow now plus Mungia is a big strong kid. GGG needs a weaker opponent

Absolutely. Munguia's youth , power and relentless pressure ends up being to much for a weathered GGG.
