    Check this video out...

His coach Rozier said you must "Be on crack" if you think Mungia is going to beat Ali lol

What that tells me is, his team thought this was an easy fight to take. Mungia, only 21 & only having fought no top opponents, they figured he could be easily outboxed...

Was no set up..his team was arrogant and had no idea what they were dealing with

Ali is a humble dude i hope he bounces back at 147....

    No set up here though

The truth of the matter was, size aside, Munguia just looked like a much better fighter than Ali. More skilled, more intelligent, more talented, with more tools at his disposal. It didn't just look like a big guy steamrolling a smaller man... it looked like a potentially special fighter destroying a guy who isn't in his league. I dunno why the Hell people are so shocked. The Vargas fight exposed Ali. He didn't suddenly become a better fighter, he simply caught a shot Cotto in his retirement fight.

For GBP it was a win win either way. (If Jaime is indeed signed to GBP)

Ali´s team ****ed up, but thats in hindsight. Going forward it was a guaranteed win.

I know only Ali from his HBO days but the fight prior to Vargas, he was pretty much exposed.
Dude looked like a god vs Abregu and then looked completely mediocre in his next fight.
Ali had a lucky break with Cotto indeed.

Couldn't have been a legitimate cherrypick because MungUIA (spell his name right, jerk) was a total mystery in terms of capabilities.

The week before the fight I was listening to a podcast (I guess it was "The 3 Knockdown Rule") where they interviewed Munguia's trainer (Robert Alcazar) where he said something like "Whoever picked Jaime has made a big mistake". He also called his boxer "the future of Mexican boxing" and he was very serious about those words.

Ali shouldn't have been in the ring with this guy. He shouldn't have defended the belt he won from Cotto. Cotto was a aged and smaller middleweight. More Ali's size. He should be fighting 140-147. He'll never be great, but he can gain some respect in the game and make some good money.

munguia on tape doesnt look that good boxing wise. but now that we've seen him against a quality opponent, we now know what his strengths are. he's huge and hes strong.

Ali will probably just become a stepping stone for up-and-comers. It's not like he can beat any of the top guys at 147.

I can see him in a good scrap with Lucas Matthyee, Horn, maybe Regis. Win or lose he'll make great money. If hes smart he'll retire early. Aint no love in his game.

Considering GBP was willing to feed him to GGG, it’s possible that they didn’t know what they had.

If Ali and his team really thought Munguia is a walking bye and an easy opponent they should retire for good because they obviously had no clue what they are doing there.
