Munguia needs to ditch Roberto alcazar ASAP!

Munguia made yesterday’s fight harder than it should have been. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS CLINCH up close to nullify Inuoe offense! That simple we was doing great in the outside and when inuoe cane in he didn’t do it behind the job or set up he walked in there.

Roberto alcazar never taught Oscar how to clinch and it cost Oscar the Mosley fight and possibly Trinidad.

Clinching would have nullified ionize offense and really hurt his confidence, this in turn was going to force him to lunge from the outside where Munguia could take a half step back and murder him!

    Clinching is for pussies.
All Munguia had to do was switch the direction of his movement. He literally jogged from corner to corner. Absolutely horrendous footwork.
Inoue had an easy time walking him down.

And then there was Munguia's offense. He basically did the same few moves/combos all night long. No creativity whatsoever. And very little set ups to his punches.

he kept his cool and stuck to the gameplan against a very awkward and very tough fighter. he became predictable with his left hooks to the body which would get him countered hard by better technicians. a solid 1-2 mixed in with some feints would have allowed him to better control distance. im not worried about this particular performance, but he still has lots of work and polishing ahead of him before he can pull away from the pack.

All Munguia has to do is learn a **** ton of skill. This kid is crude as ****. If he steps up to MW and fights a banger he's getting iced.

    Do you not know
Do you know boxing? He could not turn him as inoues feet were faster!!!

He needed to clinch intelligently kinds his Oscar clinched Mosley in bout 2. And his Mosley nullified margarito with the clinch and cotto copied. Styles makes fights and you have to adapt

I was joking with the clinch part.
But I do know boxing and Munguia could have easily turned Inoue. At least keep him guessing. Feinting is a powerful tool. But Munguia just jogged from one corner to another. Inoue had an easy time just walking him down.

I find Mungia fascinating. He's arrived very quickly at a point where he'll have to develop quickly, stall or end up like El Ferroz. This has been brought about by his own success and seemingly instant high profile. It'll be an interesting year watching him.

Ha, keep dreaming man. Clinching is an art form that needs to be learned? That's what's needed to hold off a pressure fighter?

Clinching was the difference in the Mosley and Trinidad fights??

Listen, Munguia has a lot to learn. He's already 22, and at this point some of these basic things cannot be learned. He's clearly never been pushed back before and had no clue how to counter that. Hurd or Charlo would eat him alive. As said above, he's too predictable and moves in straight lines to escape everything.

The great art of clinching is the least of his concerns ...just as it was for DLH fighting Mosley and Tito.

Dude got hit by a million right hands. He's very lucky that Inoue has average power.

You should volunteer to train Munguia since you just taught him how to win a championship with your post. Only bad thing is other trainer's will read this post and adjust to your brilliant training techniques.

Bro you clearly don’t know boxing! You can’t always use your feet and slip out side to side or slip punches. One in the greatest tools in defense is trying up your opponents weapons instead of slipping out risking getting caught. Do you even know about boxing or do you just watch for fun? Knowing how to clinch is a fundamental tool that ones needs among others. It’s not the absolute but it’s one of the great tools!
