The Derevyanchenko fight was his most entertaining. Winning the JrMW title against Ali was his most dominant high level fight. Best performance considering everything has to be Ryder.
His 2 best wins were Ryder and Derevyanchenko clearly. He looked improved with Freddy Roach, but Ryder himself said that he wasn't the same as when he fought Csnelo. I think Derev had more left in the tank than Ryder. I think Derevyanchenko would beat Ryder, and Munguia almost lost that fight. So to me the Derevyanchenko fight carries more weight.
This is his ceiling. He's not going to get any better. Already got the benefit in many cherry picked fights gone wrong and got smoked by Clenelo. Don't put your faith in this guy carrying the torch of Mexican boxing, you will end up disappointed.
He's not that good. The intrigue was in seeing Canelo in the ring with someone who fired back at him, but that's over with and his flaws are on full display if you would take a step back from cheerleading. He is very heavy on the front foot and often falls in to his punches. He fights short, negating his height advantage. He has zero defense. His footwork is poor. He has no ability to change tactics. He is very wide and telegraphed with his left hook, has no jab, and the technique on the right hand is also not ideal. He can apparently take a hell of a beating and keeo coming, but that is basically in his Mexican DNA. LOL. He's not the future of anything. Canelo could have hurt him much worse if he truly wanted to.
