Munoz injured, michael bisping now faces Chael Sonnen for title shot!!!!

I don't really understand what Bisping's ever done on the ground to make people think he has a chance of submitting Sonnen. Bisping's takedown defence is pretty good... but thinking pretty good TDD is going to stop Sonnen is like thinking pretty good kickboxing is going to stop Anderson Silva. This fight, much like Lesnar-Overeem, is about as simple as it gets in MMA. Sonnen will take him down easily whenever he wants to, keep him there, beat on him, and win a very comfortable decision. Though I must say, there's more chance of Sonnen doing what he did to Stann and submitting Bisping than there is of Bisping pulling off a sub from the bottom, Sonnen will have total control on the ground and Michael Bisping isn't Demian Maia. Bet the house.

 

Yea both guys aren't the best finishers in the business, but they always fight at a great pace and it will be interesting.

About Bisping's BJJ, I don't think it's high level. I mean the last guy he submitted was Ross Pointon, who has sub-zero ground game. And that was a long time ago. He's no Maia, that's for sure. But he doesn't have a passive guard, he's active and always tries to come back to his feet, so this will make it more interesting when he gets on his back.

This is why I dont understand why anyone is happy about this fight apart from Bisping fighting a top level fighter and it helping sort out the division. Bisping has good enough defensive wrestling/jits to limit the small amount of damage that Sonnen will dish out but not good enough to stop himself getting taken down. Bisping hasnt got the power to turn it round when theyre on their feet. Then again he may just have the jits to sub Sonnen you really never know.

I mean even the people who just want bisping to get a beating cant be happy with this because Sonnen has weak as **** GnP. Roided up he lay ontop of an injured anderson silva for 4 1/2 rounds and never once hurt him.

 

Will give it a watch again, remember watching it but can't remember anything about it.

 

Hope hope they both knock each other out simultaneously and suffer career ending injuries.

Oh **** you, Sonnen. Goddamn it, you have the chance to promote the **** out of this fight and you don't even have the balls to hype it. That's two fights Bisping's had recently that should've been hyped to the max and nothing has/will come of it. Who would've thought Jorge ****ing Rivera would hype a fight with him the most.

So absolutely disappointed. That's the main reason I wanted to see the goddamn fight.
