Dunne. I think his experience is the key. Munroe could go further in his career than Dunne if he is given the right opponents over the next year. Munroe seems to be improving at a good rate and has all the attributes to be a contender. This time next year they may end up meeting and by that time I would expect Munroe to win.
I would have to wait and see Dunne's next fight before making a decision. The pre-Martinez Dunne would take Munroe in my opinion, but I watched him last time out against Machado and some of the old spark didn't appear to be there (despite the wide scoring). Might still be a bit low on confidence at the moment, but hopefully he can get back on track in his next bout.
I don't get it with Dunne. Against Pickering he was amazing, he picked him apart and beat him up. But every other time I've seen him he looks average. :think Dunno.
What other fights have you seen? Or did you just imagine you were there like the Gomez-Al Hamadi fight? atsch
I seen Gomez-Al Hamadi, and I have it on tape if you want to see just how bad Gomez was. I've seen all Dunne's fights since he came back to Ireland, and two of his US fights. One was a blow out, the other when he got knocked down.
you said there were only fifteen people in the arena when gomez fought ham. . . It was still full. I asked.
This content is protected He's fighting in a leisure centre only half filled with seats, and even most of those are empty. I'm not boxrec, flux, I only say what I know, and Gomez was then and is now shot.
I like Munroe in this fight, I think he's on the way up as a prospect. Wasn't too impressed with Dunne's comeback, he was okay, but if he fought at that level I think Munroe would get the decision
Well theirs 30 people on that picture! (31 including the camera guy) Take it some of them were cardboard and the other 3 sides of the arena were empty.
That's the next Amir Khan opponent. He's fighting in a half empty leisure centre against a useless opponent who busted his face up. I saw the fight. You know what my point is.
I disagree with the point that Munroe is not a skilled boxer, infact he put on a very clever and technical display against Martinez, unlike Dunne. Some might call it running, fighting off the backfoot or whatever, but for me it was a job extremely well done, and considering Dunne is supposed to be much the more skilled why couldn't he do something similar? I don't think Munroe would have to force the action either, infact I see the opposite. That is what a southpaw jab and long reach does for you...
Dunne is very talented but he has probably found his level. Munroe is only just getting into his career and could go further than European level, maybe not to a title but he could mix it in better class. I feel Dunne will fall short every time he steps up. After all Munroe handily beat the man who destroyed Dunne, that is usually a sign of one fighter being better than another. Munroe wants to fight Esham due to the fighters being local rivals and the fight could be big in that area, a Dunne match up could come after but I think Dunne is going to go an alternate route by fighting guys from America and getting recognition that way.
