Murat Gassiev: After Usyk Fight - I'm Going To Heavyweight

    After Gassiev (26-0, 19 KOs) goes through with his upcoming bout, he hopes to try his hand at the heavyweight division - where the current worlds champions are Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker and Deontay Wilder.

    "I would like to change my weight division, go to heavyweight, because it is the most prestigious... I want to try my hand there. At the moment, I'm still in the cruiserweight division and I need to win my next fight to become the absolute champion of the world, and then we will see," said Gassiev.

    Thats good news.
    This will be a great year for boxing !!

    Cant wait to see how the HW division heats up in the second half of the year, with Gypsy King also returning


    AJ hurry up and make that Wilder fight happen

    Great decision. Hopefully they give him 2-3 easy fights before throwing him in with top competition, since he could do a lot of damage if developed properly at heavyweight.

    He needs to work on moving his head more, since he was eating way to many shots from Dorticos. Also, he needs to get his punches off faster, since waiting to land big shots against guys like Wilder or Joshua will get him destroyed.

    His next fight is in Saudi Arabia so double good luck to him in that fight and at the "real" Division in boxing, HEAVYWEIGHT!!
    Where guys are 6'6"-6'9",knocking guys out with one punch. This is why Mike Tyson was such an anomaly in this sport. At 5'10" crushing guys who were 6'4". Guys like Joe Frazier fighting Big George.
    I can't wait to see how these guys due when the weight garbage is gone and only chin,skills,power, and brain matter.

    I remember how you guys dogged Mike out in these threads and now some fighters you like are stepping into a realm that I know they won't survive. When they get KO'd I will make a post every time. This is what Gassiev will look like at HW against Wilder.

    got a feeling usyk him and briedis will all move up to be honest... although I think in briedis case he would be smart to stay at cruiserweight.. I think he could have anice career.. hes 32 now... but could dominate for 3-4 years to be honest.

    I don’t know if he’ll beat Usyk and Usyk’s judges. But I have no doubt he’ll be a better hw than Usyk.

    Him and Usyk are both moving to HW after their CW unification. Neir one makes CW cut comfortably at all.

    That's a given, Lep. To be perfectly honest I wouldn't be surprised if BJS 2.0 unifies all the belts up at 168 and 175 before he's done.
