Murat Gassiev: After Usyk Fight - I'm Going To Heavyweight

Too bad Wilder hasn't KO1 anyone who mattered and struggled with a guy Szpilka who is chinny, mediocre and could easily fight at CW. You don't want Usyk and Gassiev to have success at HW, it's nothing to do with your doubting their capabilities at the weight. Cut the ****.

 

Guys like were excited and claimed Haye would KO Wlad and Vitaly when he moved to HW!

 

Why do you "hate" Lebedev? Lebedev is old boxer on half step from retire. Gassiev against now is better than he was in the fight with Lebedev and I think that Lebedev will be heavily knocked out by Gassiev

 

I think Gassiev is a little in a hurry of course if he has trouble getting weight so this is a forced decision, but if not, he can fight with Briedis, Dorticos, and if Usyk goes to HW, Gassiev will become king of CW, and then (when Gassiev will be about 30) with this crown to meet with king of HW (perhaps it will even be Usyk)

 

101 years with that WBA belt? Damn, that's stingy. Pretty much drops a nuke on the current record holder for WBA title reign (Wlad, at 4yrs 4mos...I believe followed by Ali with three years and change, followed in turn by another upjumped cruiser who sometimes went by Evan Fields, at 3 years + 4 days)

 

Gassiev is good fighter, he is 6 feet 3.5 inches tall, so he could do something at heavyweight.................we will see...............

 

No I want them to be mildly successful so when Wilder smashes their face in with a looping hook and puts them on a stretcher there won't be any excuses. No **** to cut buddy, at heavyweight their chins are in danger, especially Usyk's.

 

...and Dorticos, while not a HW, is a pretty goddamn hard punching 200lber and did conk him a fair number of times, pretty flush, and it never so much as wobbled Gassiev's posture out of alignment, so there's basis to be confident in him taking shots from super heavies.

 

Hyerbole...YAWN!!!!

 

Bro: He is having trouble making CW at 24! Him and Usyk will fight for CW supremacy then possibly HW supremacy. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

 

Gassiev has short arms; i would rather see him reigning at cruiser than him becoming a puffed up heavy always keeping on the outside because perpetually in danger of being kod against naturally much bigger men.

Haye never could take a hw punch, nor Moorer.
You need either to have a rock solid chin , be a speedster, or a cutie to make the transition.

Gassiev is neither.

 

Gassiev will shoot straight to top 5 in ranking.

 

Love the thought of a Gassiev Usyk rematch and possible trilogy at HW. Regardless of whether the biggest boys up there prove too much for them.

 

Difference there, at least with Haye, is that he was already rocked & stopped by mediocre opposition @ CW, before he ever moved up (so there was always that pall hanging over him, with fans wondering if he would get cracked before he could deliver his own big payload...a sense of drama perhaps best distilled in the lead-up to his fight against Wlad; disappointing though it was, it had the sense of a "whoever lands first wins" affair...which it could've been, I suppose, had either or both of them manned up)

Gassiev isn't a speedster or cutie, but who's to say he doesn't have a rock solid chin? He took quite a few bombs from Dorticos for eleven rounds and I don't remember seeing him off his feet, do you? Lebedev and Diablo are lesser punchers than Dorticos but still no slouches - neither exposed any susceptibility on Gassiev's part. Granted before that run of three he never fought anybody with a meaningful punch, but I'd say the evidence of this stretch is enough to conclude that he at the very least isn't bringing a David Haye level of fatal-flaw chin up to HW.
