Where are they? Gassiev is a lot younger, but he hasn't competed since he was outboxed by Wallin. Dorticos is probably done, right?

I remember really enjoying their scrap. That was six and a half years ago. Wow.

Gssiev lost to Wallin last year.

I am a big fan of Iron, but it seems his injuries have gotten the best of him. When he was cruiser champ, he had a beautiful arsenal with hooks to the body, hooks to the head, a powerful left uppercut, and a quality right, especially thrown overhand.

Then he injured the left in the Usyk fight. He was going to come back, and then broke the right arm somehow.

When he did come back, ha almost did not throw the hook at all in his first four fights. He finally brought it out against Wallin, but it just didn't have the same character as a brutal, punishing punch.

He basically fights once a year, now, and it's been a year, but he has nothing on the board.

I hope I am wrong, but I think it's time to throw the towel. At 30 years old, he could still come back and be a force if the problems are psychological, but they may be physical. It may be the injuries just got on top of him.

All of that not withstanding, I would love to see him put it all back together and have a big run at heavy, or even bridger, although, as a former Russian (he's Armenian now, apparently) I don't know if the WBC would sanction him against Okolie. He'd have to target Gahzimagomedov in for the WBA championship.

Dorticos still fights and I wish him well. He was in the best cruiserweight division ever, and got crowded out. Maybe he can find a niche, now.
