    Gassiev has extremely good conditioning, and throws at a very high volume.. I was impressed. He threw nearly 1,000 punches... Not bad for a guy walking around at 200+ He's definitely not a top puncher at CW, but that's alright, he's definitely not featherfisted. Another live dog in the absolutely stacked and criminally underrated CW division.

    That's the one drawback to guys like Kovalev, Beterbiev and Kudryashov, they spoil everyone with highlight reel KO's every time they step in the ring and now if you have 17 KO's in 20 matches you're featherfisted:lol::patsch

    It usually took Holyfield a few rounds to KO opponents. That didn't make him a bad fighter did it?

    To me it seemed like Gassiev was throwing OK body punches instead of KO body punches because his fist was horizontal upon impact. If he was landing the same punches with his fist going slightly upward the fight most likely would have ended well before 9 rounds.

    Overall, a good fight for Gassiev. I'm not sure if that separates him from the prospect level to the contender level but there was some kind of regional belt at stake if I'm not mistaken. Iron probably still needs a couple of more fights for experience though.

    I think he's having hard time making 200lbs, he weighed 207 for his last fight. Not sure he's capable of bi things at HW.

    That's because his last fight WAS at heavyweight, they are trying to keep him busy. His team said he will still fight at CW because he's ranked high but expect him to move up in a couple of years.

    I'm not willing to write the Hammer off quite yet, hopefully he'll learn how to box and more importantly HOLD from this experience.
