This is an interesting heavyweight matchup coming up on September 30, 2023.

Otto Wallin is a tall, skillful southpaw, while Murat Gassiev is a relentless puncher with decent boxing ability.

Wallin should be undefeated with a TKO win over Tyson "Belly" Fury, with an honest referee the fight would have been stopped because the big dosser had a horrific cut reminiscent of Lewis-Vitali.

    What is your prediction?

Will Gassiev succeed where Fury failed, and stop Wallin?

Gassiev probably gets the benefit of the doubt. But wouldn't be surprised if the inactivity cost him here and Wallin UD'd him.

I don't have such a high opinion of Wallin, he struggled with a fighter outside the Top 200 and went all the rounds, many said that he needed rounds but you have to knock out such fighters, this will be a good fight but somehow I prefer Gassiev...

If health problem dont completly destroy Murat he should win and probably win before last bell.

Otto is overrated. Murat have very quick and heavy hand soo he should be abble to catch Sweden guy with some good shoots and end it.

I agree that the fight should have been stopped, because if Wallin had a cut like that - it would have been stopped. Any other fight would have been stopped by such a cut.
I wouldn't compare that cut to Vitali's cut, and according to the data I have, Fury had 47 clips and Vitali had 60 clips (again, that doesn't mean much).

As for the Gassiev Vs. Wallin thinks Gasiev will win by knockout precisely because of his loss to southpaw Oleksandr Usyk. IMO Gassiev learned something in that fight.

This fight should be an absolute barn burner.

My gut feeling is Gassiev should catch him at some point but it's impossible to know what he has left at the world level at the moment after all the injuries and inactivity and Wallin could outbox him and win a UD if he's lost too many steps. He's fought four times in over five years and only been 8 incomplete rounds in all that time.

    TKO 1
    TKO 4
    KO 1
    KO 2

And obviously he's been fighting scrubs, his best opponent being Mike Balogun who hadn't fought anyone and many feel took a dive or Michael Wallish who has lost via stoppage to everyone decent he's fought

His power is still there but Wallin has a good chin and hasn't been dropped before. That being said, he hasn't fought anyone who hits like Gassiev,

I suspect gassiev stops him but a wallin UD would not surprise me either.

Wallin beats him up if he's in shape and motivated.

Wallin's going to need more than we've seen from him of late to beat Gassiev but could be he only shows up fully when facing a proper challenge like Fury. Still go with Gassiev.

We have a man whose only loss is to Tyson Fury against an opponent whose only loss is to Oleksandr Usyk. It's clear the winner of this fight proves who is better between Fury and Usyk.

In all seriousness, Wallin doesn't have much of a resume and he is most noted for his hard working loss to Fury. This is not to say Wallin's a stiff it's just that he doesn't seem to be at Gassiev's skill level. I have Gassiev by wide UD.
