    I got Wallin in a snooze fest, although in terms of accolades Gassiev should be the favorite

    Wallin UD. Gassiev isn't as effective at HW as he was as a Cruiser not to mention the laundry list of injuries and layoffs that have plagued him.

    Close fight but I think Wallin wins a UD. I don't rate Gassiev as highly as most people on here.

    All of Gassiev's fights at HW since the loss to Usyk have finished with right cross bomb KOs and IIRC he only threw one power left hook up top which missed in all of them. There was very few left hooks thrown downstairs too and the ones he did throw weren't thrown with the same torque and viciousness as he used to

    His left to the body was his bread and butter before

    I think he can take out Wallin with the right hand but if he's not unleashing his left hook with any type of consistency in this fight it's fair to say that shoulder injury might have ruined his shoulder

    Me too. Even though Gassiev is carrying a lot more weight now and hasn't been past 4 rounds in the last five years, I do hope this is a 12 rounder as opposed to a 10 because I think the chances of Wallin winning increase over 10 against this version of Gassiev.

    I remember Buddy Mcguirt could never throw the hook again after the rotator cuff injury. Left Hook Lacey was never the same.

    Hope it is not so with Gassiev, but at least he has a damn good right to fall back on.

    Yeah those shoulder injuries are very serious and they can and often have put an early end to an athlete's career.

    this fight will only raise more questions, as Gassiev has done nothing at this weight and Wallin has done nothing in general. it just rids us of a suspect, while marginally raising the profile of the other suspect.
