Yes it was a lot more sudden and dramatic agreed. Dorticos does have power.

My point was that Dorticos landed that right hand flush on the side of his head 10 times atleast prior to the one turning his lights out. Alot of big shots in the same place were landed in a short space of the second round. So it wasnt just a one shot KO from nowhere. Dorticos stepped up the gears in the 2nd, and switched the lights out with cumulative power shots.

Great fight. Can't pick a winner, for me it's a 50/50. Dorticos is underated judging by posts in this thread.

Personally I thought Lebedev won the match by near shutout, the KD that dropped him was more of the fl;ash variety, however his KD of Kalenga was brutally legit. Its amazing Kalenga was able to see the final bell, but thankfully for him Lebedev is fairly cautious and seemed to take his foot of the gas late. Fine Lebedev has less power than Dorticos, no one is going to argue that point, but skillwise, Lebedev is superior to Dorticos in every department. Dorticos is very heavy handed, more so than Durodola, but he's more skilled, so it was easier to deliver the KO shot on Kud, if Durodola was more accurate, he could have probably done the same to him.

    Here's my score.
    R1 Lebedev 10-9
    R2 Lebedev 10-9
    R3 Lebedev 10-9
    R4 Kalenga 10-8
    R5 Kalenga 10-9
    R6 Lebedev 10-9
    R7 Lebedev 10-8
    R8 Lebedev 10-9
    R9 Lebedev 10-9
    R10 Lebedev 10-9 Close
    R11 Lebedev 10-9
    R12 Lebedev 10-9 Close

    117-110 Lebedev

I forgot what my score for Dorticos-Kalenga was at the time of the stoppage, and since the admin deleted The Beast's RBR thread that my score was on, I can't go back and look it up, but IIRC, I had it near even with quite a few rounds I called "very close", two of the official judges had Kalenga ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage, and it was not just the French being generous, the fight could have gone either way up until the stoppage, and most on the RBR agreed.

Lebedev is a good fighter...................I did not see that fight..................wish I had.

I think Gassiev should beat Dorticos, but I have not seen enough of either fighter to feel certain. Tell us more about Gassiev................

Usyk is, by far, the best cruiserweight fighting today, he should win the tournament. I feel very confident he will be the winner...............he has angles, defense, great amateur...............

I think Dorticos is somewhat underrated on this forum. His skills are more than decent and he packs a KO power in his right hand. I still have Gassiev 55/45 favourite though, with 50% chance for a KO in the later rounds. My feeling is it will be a very close fight until the 8th, but Gassiev will finally wear Dorticos down and win. However, given Dorticos power it could easily go the other way with a couple of right hands to the head in the early rounds.

Gassiev's power is murderous, enough to bring down practically every HW. His main weapon - bone crushing, left hook to the body..

Thank you for the reply. I have heard that he is a killer puncher, looks as if he will get the KO, wish him luck. I think Usyk will win the tournament though...................

Watch the knockout shot here. Gassiev actually lifts the guy off his feet.

'Ask any given sparring partner who’s been in there with him and they will tell you he’s a small heavyweight who fights like a big heavyweight.

“Murat Gassiev – that motherbeeeper hits hard,” heavyweight contender Chris Arreola said of his experience while training with the Russian banger in Big Bear, California.

The two worked in the same gym space for their recent training camps. Arreola was preparing for his December 12 showdown with Travis Kauffman, a fight he won by split decision. The final outcome was disputed, but Arreola’s energy at fight’s end was attributed to the work he put in during his time in Big Bear, also crediting Gassiev as one of the fighters who pushed him in the gym.

“He caught me in the ribs during one sparring session, I just never been hit like that before,” Arreola admitted. “This was a camp I was already determined to leave as a trim and ready fighter, but I knew I couldn’t half-ass it when he was there. Whenever I saw him in the gym when I arrived, I was like “Beep, not that guy again.” But he makes you work in the gym, he makes you a better fighter.”

'Here is another endorsement. World-class cruiserweight Ola Afolabi proclaimed that Gassiev is a certified assassin. “Probably the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in with,” said Afolabi, a pro since 2002 and a three-time cruiserweight title challenger ranked No. 10 by THE RING.'

Gassiev looks really good, tons of power, quick, he is a cruiserweight, but I would pick him over Wilder any day. Gassiev vs. Usyk will be interesting, Usyk will edge Gassiev out by decision most likely, but he really looks dangerous.......................thanks.............I also watched some of his other fights after the one you posted..............

No problem. No questioning his power he hits like a truck. This was probably one of his fights you saw, but I'll post it just in case it wasn't.

It's one of the most brutal KOs I've ever seen.
