    He's not difficult to hit but his chin looked pretty solid to me against Kalenga who did catch him with some big shots.

    I'm a believer in Gassiev's power and I don't doubt he can take Dorticos out if he catches him right. I think that applies to pretty much any CW on the planet, though. And I think Gassiev is the bigger single shot hitter of the two even though Dorticos has the higher KO percentage.

    Gassiev will KO Dorticos early maybe even in 1, by catching and shooting. Dorticos is wild, quite frankly reckless and sloppy as hell with most of his haymakers, Gassiev will catch most of them on his high guard, shoot his left hook connect clean on the button, down goes Dorticos, that's right, he's been knocked out!


    Gassiev wins KO1. And no I'm not kidding.:deal:

    50/50, but I too ride with Dorticos. I think he lands. If I have a gun to my head I'm picking it to not last the 12 rounds, however I also think there's a much better chance of going the distance than most seem to.

    It's hard to tell when you are going over board just to have fun or when you truly mean it, lol

    Gassiev can be hit, sure, which means a chance exists for him to get Kudryashov'ed, but I think he's the much bigger hitter with much less evidence of fragility, which is a recipe for being the better gamble in what's sure to be a shootout and not a cutie pie chess match.

    You are totally right. Why I say it's 50/50 even though I'm making a pick, haha. I don't know, I just see Dorticos hitting the homer first. Honestly don't like one more than the other, slight lean Dorticos for being the more underrated I suppose. Just pumped that this fight is happening. This tourney has delivered and then some.

    If he were more accurate I might be tipping Dorticos too, because he does have pretty awesome power (albeit less than Gassiev's) - but vs. Kudryashov, for instance, he was just lucky IMO that Kudra is even sloppier. I've never been impressed with Yunier's technique, esp. for a Cuban.

    I suppose being Cuban alone predisposed me to thinking he had more tech than advertised back in the first place. Not the case, but I don't know, held out that he's capable of fighting smart and tightening up when the time comes (which it most certainly will this Sat).
