Gassiev will get him out before the 7th round. Having difficulty against a Beterbiev in the AMs and losing via stoppage, and having a competitive encounter with a bloated up Miranda in the pros, does not indicate Gassiev will get knocked out by Dorritos. People keep bringing up Kudra, Kudra is a Russian glass cannon who got brutally knocked out before by a Nigerian glass cannon. Gassiev would have knocked out Kudra back to Siberia.
Dorticos showed a nice uppercut against Kalenga. The perfect punch to catch Gassiev. Dorticos by KO in a war.
Dorticos is a bit of a dark horse for me. He seems to have a really solid jaw and can crack as well as anyone in the tournament. Decent skill as well. Gassiev is a beast, but I'm not entirely sold on him at present, so I don't see this fight as being one sided at all. We know that Dorticos will most likely take whatever Gassiev has to dish out more so than the other way round, so the fight comes down to who can impose their gameplan on the other. If Gassiev is just banking on a KO then he may be in for a bit of a shock, and Dorticos has shown he can keep his composure and KO power late. I think Gassiev will win, but I think it'll be a close and competitive fight that goes down to points, as a lot of these KO machine vs KO machine fights tend to go.
