    ward retired because of him................

murat is far far stronger then kovalev bigger and hits a lot harder

Actually he in all likelihood retired because of Gvozdyk, Bivol and Beterbiev.

Then at Cruiserweight, Usyk probably terrifies him more, but Gassiev is a close second. Quite frankly Briedis and Dorticos should as well.

No he's not, that's why he was the first guy that beat Ward, unfortunately he didn't get credit for it.

Ward has more than an inside game. Actually his infighting isn't particularly good nor is it legal within the rules of the sport typically. The thing about Andre Ward is that although he isn't the best at any particular thing, he IS good at everything. If you have a glaring flaw someone like Ward can exploit that and make you look terrible. It often isn't fun to watch sadly. The biggest drawback to this though is that if you don't have that glaring flaw you will probably beat Andre Ward.

Gassiev is a monster compared with Ward - personally I don't expect him to step up to 200lbs. He had more than enough on his plate at 175 but Kovalev gave him all he could handle so he decided to retire.

Well I hope a 220lb. Cruiserweight would be a blow-up SMW ten years older than him.

If he didn't I'd be embarrassed to ever come back to this site.

20 years of getting hit in the head probably had something to do with it.

And facing down a muderers row of naturally bigger men prob didn't help. 175 promised a whole heap of pain had he continued and so he didn't. That's not to say he'd necessarily lose to his proposed dance partners just that the road would be long and difficult.

Some of you have no shame. lol. Ward was the best 168 pounder while he was there, and at 175, he beat the guy most people thought was the best, twice, the second time leaving no doubt. Ward would have to do some serious weight training if he tried to fight at Cruiserweight.
