If I'm understanding the announcers this Chambaldoo is 1-0-1, certainly matched tough I was expecting this to be a mid career guy.

"Good card" seems a little generous, it's virtually all mismatches. :sisi1

(especially the upper end of the bill, with custom-ordered Africans flown in to be trounced by the local Russian prospects, and of course Wallisch being fed on a silver platter to Gassiev)

Good doesn't always mean competitive, especially on a weekday.

ARS has now dropped NAC in both the 1st and 2nd rounds.

edit: and NAC fails to make it to round three, and picks up his first L to bring his record a perfectly symmetrical 1-1-1.

Subkhankulov - who possesses loads of amateur experience and competed in WSB - made a strong pro debut here. Originally he was scheduled to do so versus Kyrgyz fellow debutant Adyl Askarov, but, plans changed I guess.

This feels maybe not very politically correct to say but, er, with the venue outside the ring being so dimly lit, it annoys me when they use that upward viewing angle with the camera down on the ring apron, because the dark-skinned, black-gloved, and dark-haired Kakololo sort of gets...lost in the inky void beyond the ropes.

Competitive opener. Edged by the Armenian but he isn't yet distinguishing himself from the Namibian as much as you'd expect given the circumstances and their respective amateur experience and pro records to date. (both have thirteen bouts, with Grigoryan unblemished and Kakololo sporting a draw and two losses).

Grigoryan has some of the classic bad habits of Armenian boxing forebears...low hands, thinking his reflexes are quicker than may be the reality, and eating too many shots while being overly choosy in picking his own spots.

He's still up on my card, 20-18, but Kakololo has clocked him a few times with grazing rights. Let's see how that chin of Grigo's holds up if one is planted square.

Yeah when I saw this one I thought it would have been good for the prediction league, unfortunately I saw it a couple hours ago.

You wouldn't say it seeing them both in the ring, but Kakololo is a pretty small guy himself. Grigo is a very small dude.

Might be the pick of the whole undercard tbh, surprised they put it on this early.

"Natty" Kakololo is a 2-time featherweight African champion (ABU) and is coming off holding Ukrainian southpaw 27-0 unbeaten prospect Oleg Malinovskyi to a majority decision for the WBO intercontinental title.
