Murata-Butler, Mthalane-Yaegashi & Kenshiro-Alvarado World title triple header in Japan!

Tight! Surprised this is on December 23rd, seems like this would make for an epic New Year's bash as the Japanese are so fond of..

 

That's wishful thinking though. Yeah he's younger but waaaaaay older ring wise.

 

Yaegashi, please retire. You've given enough to Boxing.

 

I can't believe Yaegashi and Ioka have both retired, at least once apiece, in the 7½ years since their epic battle, and both are still active in approximate territory on the scales, and we are STILL YET TO HEAR EVEN A WHISPER OF A REMATCH of perhaps the Japanese FOTD.

Talk about seven year itches..

 

Sadly, I think a rematch wouldn’t go well for Yaegashi at this point. Ioka’s on a hot streak with Salas as his trainer where as Yaegashi is, well, I don’t want to say shot but hasn’t looked too good recently. Let’s see how he does against Mthalane and see if he has anything left in the tank...
