    It's been a while, but I am near finished with my 5th "Murderers' Row" series.

    The working title is Battle Hymn.

    Aaron "Little Tiger" Wade was, like his fellow members, black, avoided by most contenders, ignored by every champion, very dangerous, and something of a mystery.

    We didn't know much about him besides his record (which is incomplete), a few factoids about his amateur record, and the fact that he was active in San Francisco.

    Well, read this upcoming series and you'll know more than he knew about himself! I did months of research and found more gems than I can count, including the following:

    ~ Where he came from. What he saw. Where he went.
    ~ Some would say that he was the least of Murderers' Row. I'm not so sure.
    ~ That KO loss to Sugar Ray Robinson in 1950? It ain't what you think.
    ~ The truth about the rumor that the Wade and Robinson had another bout that went unrecorded....

    Some bum asked me why I bother immersing myself in writing and research like this. I told that bum I'm a PI hired by ghosts. And it's fun.

    This one is a little sad. It's the first one since John Garfield/Joe Rein passed away. Anyway. Don't miss it. I'll let you know what it begins its ten-part run.

    I've always wondered about that second fight and tried to find proof. I hope you have, even if to debunk it.

    The series will start on Monday. I figure it's only right given that Wade was born on that day --17 March 1916.
