Murodjon Akhmadaliev lost to Tapales so that cost him his shot at Inoue. Lets say Inoue stays at 122 in 2025 what kind of a chance do you give Akhmadaliev to beat Naoya Inoue
A better chance than anyone else at 122 IMO. Stylistically he could be a challenge but I still don't think he can win against Inoue.
He can cause some problems with his southpaw style but he ends up getting sparked out like the rest of them boys at 122.
Not sure why a lot of people want Inoue to fight MJ. What has MJ actually done to deserve a shot against Inoue? Inoue is defo capable of moving up a division ATM, he has creamed his division.
Inoue is a southpaw killer, even if MJ lucks out and nails him with a shot that drops him when he's off balance like Nery did, well we all saw how that turned out now didn't we?
Inoue is a freak. 4 division champ, twice undisputed, and headed to a 5th division in next 12ish months. If he becomes thrice undisputed there needs to be some serious conversations about all time ranking...and I dont think I'm exaggerating.
I said a while back Inoue can realistically become a 6 division champ before he's done. Possibly becoming undisputed in 3-4 of those divisions, while remaining undefeated. Would he be ranked top 10, 5, 3 or the real ATG? I'll be watching.
Slim, you have to have a punchers chance or be a master boxer with a significant size advantage to beat him. MJ is not a massive puncher. Nery had the best chance to beat Inoue at 122 because of his power.
Nakatani will sort him out at 122 at the end of next year and then go up to 126 and become undisputed there.
His chances just increased after his latest performance. MJ showed that he deserves a shot against Inoue. Been saying this for awhile but MJ does pose the biggest challenge for Inoue. We need to see Inoue vs MJ fight sometime next year.
I agree Doheny didn't deserve a shot. Goodman, probably just more than MJ - debatable. Then again, I think Inoue is far too good for his division and he should move up.
