    Round 1 Akhmadaliev 10-9

Shockingly one sided. Jose barely threw or landed a shot.

    Round 1

Velásquez is getting slammed with heavy lefts and backed into a corner straight away. Akhmadaliev rows out right jabs into the guard, mostly just to place-find and set up more hard straight and curveball lefts, to both head and body. Velásquez standing up to some bombs so far but not throwing anything back and can barely escape the corner or ropes for more than a second. HUGE 1-2 by Akhmadaliev, bypassing the gloves, threading a needle between Velásquez's thumbs. Finally a bit of meager offense from Velásquez, crouching and stretching in to jab the body of Akhmadaliev while stepping inside, away from the ropes. Jab, jab, looping left by Akhmadaliev, the first two pattering into Velásquez's wrists and the power shot bashing through his guard, shattering it and stamping him on the forehead. Right hooks on the body now from Akhmadaliev. Velásquez is getting brave now, coming forward, digging a hard right uppercut into the stomach of Akhmadeliev while he is circling wide.

    10-9 Akhmadaliev, very dominant

Velásquez looks much smaller than Akhmadaliev, according to Boxrec he fought mostly one division below but the difference is very noticable

Velásquez looks like the guy in a heist movie that gets killed first in the shootout with the cops, after sweating bullets all throughout and smoking the bank manager when he mistakes him clutching his chest in the preliminary stages of cardiac arrest for him reaching for a secret alert button.
