    Round 2

Velásquez is defending, mostly high, with his elbows up by his nips, and occasionally lumping in a right hand at the head of Akhmadaliev. Velásquez is getting picked apart bit by bit; Akhmadaliev content to circle and pot shot with the southpaw jab while planting power shots to body and head only when there's a clear landing strip for them.

    10-9 Akhmadaliev

    20-18 Akhmadaliev

    Round 2 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 3 Akhmadaliev 10-9, close

Velásquez came damn close to winning that, he closed the distance well, and landed several eye catching body shots and overhand rights. But MJ too active, and finished well.

    Round 3

Velásquez is winging overhand rights, desperate to get into this contest - but Akhmadaliev just too slick, too Uzbek, too careful and patient ...just too much. Lots of hard power counters landing for Akhmadaliev, economical, taking his time. Velásquez clipping him with some of those overhand rights but only getting a piece, never as clean as the stuff from Akhmadaliev himself.

    10-9 Akhmadaliev

    30-27 Akhmadaliev

I like Rios's chances against MKA. Hopefully he gets well soon, and gets another oppurtunity at the belt.

A lot of pressure from Jose, but landed little. Although he closed well.

Well, right now, yes. In the past they had Arturo Godoy, and just recently they had Miguel "Aguja" González, a world rated contender who fought until 2019 and was pretty good.

I think Velasquez would stop Ronny. He's got that unpredictable Azat vibe to him.
