Yeah definitely, IMO. I sure think so.

TBH, I'd have said he was considerably better before Bek lost to Gabe, too.

Akhmadaliev 6-0, with Velásquez nonetheless applying baffling amounts of pressure for someone who's getting out-landed 10-1 by a superior puncher.

    The K stands for Kelsi.

    It's his middle name.

    Ah, yes indeed.

We might be seeing MKA finishing off JLVC here, very soon...

Actually his middle name is pretty close to a Russified version of Goku's name if you watch subs instead of dubs (like all good boys should). Which is also the Japanese word for carrot.

    Round 1 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 2 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 3 Akhmadaliev 10-9, close
    Round 4 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 5 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 6 Akhmadaliev 10-9
    Round 7 Velásques 10-9

Jose hurt him to the body early, forcing MJ to hold for a stretch. Jose working him over. MJ recovers, letting his hands go. But Jose comes roaring back, landing several looping rights up top. MJ then seemed to hurt Jose late. Brutal round.

I don't watch anything Japanese, and not much where you have to debate between subs and dubs.

Whatever the result of this fight may be, I want Velasquez to get another shot at something meaningful. Something he can win and be proud of.
