    Round 1: Maritnez 10-9

Typical Martinez, offensively aggressive and defensively irresponsible. Enjoyable round.

Martinez's hittableness is costing him now.

    Round 1

Martínez is stepping in and hooking, but Arroyo is countering him with perfectly timed jabs and chopping rights. Martínez goes down off a left hook in an exchange!!! Wait no, the ref is ruling it a slip? Bogus call - and he seems to change his mind on the fly and decide to pretend that he did think it was a knockdown (pressured by the boos of the crowd) and give Martínez a count. They battle cautiously for the next minute and then ARROYO goes down hard off a left hook while backing away somewhat off-balance, just before the bell!

10-9 Arroyo (both scored knockdowns, so the custom is to give it to whoever you think won most of the round, 10-9. Yes, that is how you score that...look it up, if you don't trust my word, as the guy that has been doing this for over a decade and scored thousands of fights :sisi1)

If I had to give rnd 1 to someone it would be Arroyo. He landed the knockdown followed by many more rights in the rnd. Martinez left that sent him don was had him hurt more but overall it was Arroyo that landed

I guess the keyword there was IF El Rey is half as good as he's believed to be. :sisi1

If you're going life and death with Arroyo (whom I maintain is good but not a world-beater; sort of Lamont Peterson level), you're not in fact a p4p-destined blue-chipper.
