Murodjon Kakharovich Akhmadaliev vs. José Luis Velásquez Cárdenas RBR (+ Andrade vs. Quigley)

Yeah pretty exciting matchup. I'm surprised how enormous a favorite Martinez is both in odds and in the prediction league. I thought it was closer to a 70-30 kind of fight.

 

Okay this is turning into what I thought this would end up looking like. McKean is landing damaging straights and uppercuts, even his jab looks spiteful now. His combinations are quite fluid and fast. This won't last much longer at this rate.
3-0 to Demsey, looking good against an admittedly overmatched opponent but that's just doing the job as intended.

 

Not really impressed with Demsey so far. Looks like a southpaw version of David Price without the power.

 

Is Demsey actually struggling to knock this guy out? I assumed he was just getting rounds but now I'm confused.

 

Who is the first to say that McKean is a featherfist?

 

Sheer destruction with the combos. When Demsey stepped on it there was nothing Haynesworth could do. Good stoppage by the ref.

McKean looked feather fisted in here, not a great look.

 

If McKean had more pop he'd be quite dangerous for the top guys. Unfortunately he lacks that kind of fight changing power. If he gets someone to harness his size and teach him to punch better he might change that.

 

He's not a big puncher but he's got a lot of other things going for him. Not everyone is going to be a monster hitter.

 

I didn't say featherfist, but he looks great in every way except that he just unloaded on Homer Simpson for two rounds without dropping him.

Hard to say when he's fighting a guy who threw about 5 actual punches in 6 rounds.
