Murray and Quillin are a disgrace for boxing and the most ridicolous jokes ever

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iWantToLearnEng, Sep 25, 2013.

  1. Both ducked GGG several times. Murray even ducked GGG twice after the Macklin fight.

    For what??

Quillin will fight Rosado, Murray will fight Australian journeyman Garth Wood :rofl:lol:

Biggest jokes ever .. I can't wait to see how GGG knocks them out into retirement. Cowards.

Most avoided fighter from 154 - 168 in history. Deal with it.

Golovkin team said that they agreed an opponent for Jan 25, which won't be broadcasted by HBO. I initially thought it would be Murray, taking into account the fight is scheduled to happen not in the States, but considering that he fights this late this year, I now doubt he will be ready for that date.
    Who is it then?

  3. I think Sergio Mora. He needs to get knocked out either for his arrogance.

Murray is scared to fight Golovkin, he said as much after the Macklin fight live on Sky Sports lol I don't blame him in a way unless he is getting offered a lot of money I don't see what incentive he has to make the fight. Especially since he has a chance to challenge Darren Barker in an all British Middleweight Battle of Mediocrity.

Remember, he was planning to fight 5 times this year (= 1/73 days) Nov 4 - Jan 25 = 82 days Just over 2.5 months. Should be plenty of time - specially if (as most expect) he makes short work of Stevens.

Murray, maybe in the UK, would be a definite possibility, 'specially since Martin is the mando. Woulda though HBO would want to broadcast it however. Perhaps Boxnation will organise the broadcast in the UK but sell rights to HBO?

EDIT: My bad, I though you were talking 'bout GGG fighting Nov 4. Murray fighting on the 30th does leave a short turn-around, but is certainly not impossible (Kovalev did a 2 month turn-around between White and Clev).

The fact that HBO ain't the broadcaster does kinda suggest a non US fight. Even Mora would probably be on HBO.

    Froch on Sky anyone?

Oh, and to the TS. Quillin can't fight GGG 'less he breaks contract and leaves GBP, and Murray had no US visa for the required date at MSG. This could be the UK version of the bout that was proposed at the time. Neither are ducking, though Quillin (and De La Coca) should stop dropping GGGs name when they know it ain't happening.

A guy that fights Martinez in Argentina and Sturm in Germany is definitely not a disgrace. He deserves an easy fight or at least one where he can gain another win on his record before fighting GGG.

Murray is trying to get a rematch with Martinez. He was robbed in Argentina. And robbed vs Sturm in Germany.

Lets get this straight right now Murray should be the undefeated, undisputed, Ring, Lineal, etc, everything Middleweight Champion.

This, of course, is correct and, sadly, a valid reason that the proposed Jan 25 fight may not be Murray.

I've a great deal of respect for Murray both as a person and a fighter, and much as I would love to see him fight GGG, the probability of ending up with back-to-back losses may not be the best thing for his career.

you can kind of see it from their point of view, if I were Murray or Kid Chocolate, I'd want much more than 300K for a brutal beating and becoming a good boy

Murray should be the one with all the Championship belts and accolades that Golovkin is getting. And I have had enough!

WTF is he fightin Curtis Stevens then? That is a one dimensional 5'7 midget plodder. Murray and Barker would school him.

if you're going to the champion's den, you have to beat him decisively, not scratch out a 1-2 points win, because you'll never get the decision, at least on the judge's scorecards, Froch-Abraham is a perfect example, Froch going to Sauerland's fighter's house and winning every round and getting the decision

Murray is a solid boxer and has risen to the top levels of the world stage in 2 fights. He beat Sturm and Martinez, and is a far stronger contender for MW champion than Golovkin is right now.

  14. He beat Sturm and Martinez??

The Sturm fight was close, but not a win for Murray and hiding 12 rounds between a defense and getting schooled by a old, shot, glass jawed, featherfisted Martinez is everysthing, but not a win for Murray. One knockdown, which wasn'teven a real knockdown ..

Golovkin destroys Murray within 4 rounds.

Sorry, you're a bit late, GGGs already a Middleweight champion. Has been for a while you'll find. How about you get on Twitter to Martin and Ricky and tell 'em to get the Golovkin fight made then?

Look, I really like Murray, but he ain't better than Golovkin ('less he can prove it in the ring).
