Tyrell Hendrix dropped GG with a body shot in sparring so what's the big deal about GG? His resume is lacking. All he has to so is prove himself and I'm on board.

He's got talent. He just needs to prove it. So far he's beaten 1 contender who was 1 fight away from a Martinez beating. You all are talking like he's a future ATG.

He's a 31 year old former Olympic silver medallist and one time world champ who has a terrible joke of a resume after 7+ years as a pro.

    Hype.

    Job.

So why are you bigging up Sergio? He didn't step up till 34, his resume was far worse. Maybe he appeals to your homo tendencies?

S*xy Sergio is the opposite of GGG. A legit talent who had to prove himself over many years. Nothing was handed to him. He also came to boxing late, but was still able to conquer the MW division and rise to top 5 P4P.

S*xy Sergio would dominate GGG and leave him a worthless mess of shattered hype. Pray that your hero keeps padding his record for a couple more years and waits for ***y Sergio to be fully shot before they fight.

Even worse, what will you do if HBO get their wish, build enough hype for the paper champ to make him marketable, then feed him to Andre Ward? :hi:

As far as Quillin goes, I know he has a great work ethic, eats, sleeps and studies the sweet science at all times. Very dedicated professional. Calling him a joke is a joke :-(

You are right about silly clowns knocking pro fighters, calling them jokes etc.

But it is a fact that Quillin laboured against the ancient Winky, and he looked all at sea for long periods against HNN.

Also did he not fail to make the weight for his last fight too?
Does'nt sound very professional and dedicated to me.....

Also Murray and Quillin enjoy huge natural size advantages over other middles, but they get a free pass on this from fans and media alike - unlike Chavez who gets crucified for it.....

I don't know what he'll be in the future. I watch his fights and I see talent, ring IQ and KOs. What's so bad with being excited 'bout that?

Don't you ever get excited when you see a talented fighter start to make waves, 'specially one who gets the big KOs? For me that's one of the best things in the sport - seeing the new guys rise up and try (successfully or not) to take on the established names.

BTW while it's about 7 years since Golovkin turned pro it's only 2 years (well 2.5 now) since he split from Universum - the (now thankfully defunct) contender for the worst promoter on the planet. GGG is just one of the many European talents who came close to having his career ruined by that inept (and literally criminal) organisation.

Wow, you're weird. Liking one fighter does not mean disliking another. I've nothing but respect for Maravilla, in fact I've yet to speak to a serious boxing enthusiast who doesn't. Why does Sergio being a great talent, a great champion and a really decent human being (by all accounts) make liking GGG a bad thing?

Andre Ward is the fight I want more than anything. Could be in the making for 2014, but recent rumour suggests HBO now prefer Kovalev - SOG. What you perhaps don't get is that while I really like watching Golovkin fight, what I really want is to see him tested - I'm a fan of boxing foremost , more than a fan of any boxer. I don't give a f#kk if GGG loses, so long as he gets the decent fights.

TBH I would rather a Golovkin vs Froch / Bika / JCC jr fight first, to establish some SMW credibility but yeah, 'Dre is the test (and the best) for Gena.

Murray can't fight in the states, he can't get a visa due to being in prison. The fight would have to be made in Europe and I can't see HBO allowing that. I'd love to see Murray vs Barker soon then the winner take on GGG.

Can't wait! The rest of us will be here waiting to tell you"I told you so".

Do you think there might be a reason that guys like Barker, Macklin, and Murray get a chance to fight guys like Martinez and Sturm and GGG doesn't?
