Huge respect to Buck for a tremendous effort, didn't need to be out there that long but deserves immense credit. Also glad it's over since I had cash on a Murray stoppage from the outset and Buck's chin was starting to put me on edge.

 

Perhaps not a worldbeater but surely he could hold his own with a Diaz or DeMarco type.

 

great fight. i was sweating my ass off. i put money on murray to win by stoppage at odds 4/7, and that buckland just wouldn't stop. great heart and courage.

 

Brilliant fight, the stoppage was fair. Buckland showed a lot of courage but never had the power to trouble Murray. Best FFN this year, no doubt.

Buckland and murray has to be the british fight of the year. That was a brutal encounter, Murray's work was compact and fluid - I thought he looked good in comparison to some of his other fights I've seen despite his minimal head movement. Buckland wouldn't stop coming though and was landing great left hooks. How buckland took all of those body shots was unreal.


I rarely watch friday night boxing on sky anymore but I'm pleased I tuned in tonight!

The thing is the ref knew that Murray was ahead on points and didn't think it worth Buckland taking more blows to the head. I think it was a good stoppage.
