    Yeah, quite often.

He's a bit of a "yes man" for ITV.

Yes. Anybody that knows what they are looking at could have told you he was never going past domestic level. These two fights just confirm it.

I doubt it very much. No world class prospects struggle this much, and have regular wars with journeymen. Once is excusable, but twice in a row gives a clear indication of his level

If he improves he'll pick up a British title and challenge at European level

No chance mate!, even being demoralized anyone with world title hopes should be knocking out domestic fighters never mind journey men, i dont think he could even win the british.

Yup, that was Miguel Angel Munguia.
He got bloodied, made to look like crap and in all honesty I thought he got a bit of a gift when the judges gave him the nod.

So I'm not totally surprised he had another rough night.
For someone with so many wins under his belt, they clearly haven't been against good enough opposition.

McGuigan talked about him a little bit at the end of the Witter/Froch show, seems he's feeling a lot less confident about Murray's chances now as well.

I had it 77-75 but it was only Murray's stamina(being the one who's been in preparation for a fight for weeks that won him the fight) .

If he fights that bad again he should retire..........

He reminds me of a lightweight John Duddy, with the way he wades in and goes to war with no thought of defence or a jab to set up his offense.

Fewkes would have beaten Murray with ease in a shut out UD.

yeah i had the same scoreline.

not only was murray disappointing in the fight but also the post-fight interview.

he was clearly outclassed by his opponent for a lot of the fight but he dismissed him in the interview as a "rough-house brawler", and also not acknowledging that it was a close fight.

    what an arse.

Some terrible overreactions on here. Murray fought a spoiler not knowing who he'd fight until the day. He's not even had a fight this year until last night.

Mick Hennessy has done a stunning job of burying one of the best talents in the country.

Poor performance by Murray. Suspect he will be disappointed when he watches it back as he is capable of better - demonstrated that against Dean Hickman.

Hennessy doing Murray no favours bringing in a fighter like Youssef Al Hamidi at the last minute. Lots of decent fighters with much more notice have also failed to look good against him over the last year. Beat undefeated prospect Anthony Crolla last time out, had very close fights with John Simpson & Ricky Burns and Michael Gomez also struggled badly with him.

Can appreciate Fewkes pulling out at short notice was a huge setback and then being linked with one opponent after the other in the following 48 hours must have been unsettling however he now needs a sensational performance in his next fight. Hope he and Hennessy deliver.
