I agree with Constable. Murray is a great fighter. Macklin was a great fighter too, and de Geale, and Rubio is no walk in the park. GGGs just gobbling them up and making them look so much worse than they actually are

Whenever you get a dominant champion in a division, he can make it look weak, wheare as in actual actuality its not weak at all

If GGG beats him, which I think he will, the doubters won't be able to say anything. He'll have fought Macklin, Geale, and Murray in the span of a year, all three of whom are top 10 contenders.

IMAO Canelo will look great against a guy with Murray style. Canelo had problems with slick fighters that move around but he will unload crisp combination to the body and head and will brake down Murray.

Murray is alright but he's never impressed me, his best performances have been against a badly faded Sturm and Martinez and he still couldn't decisively beat either, Sturm match was a draw Martinez outpointed him. A prime Martinez would have ripped Murray to pieces, GGG will show just how much people are misjudging Murray's level of talent.

That was Sturm at his best IMO, and Martinez had just come off an 11-1 schooling of Chavez Jr, the consensus #2.

I would say Murray, if given the right opportunities would be a definitive #4 right now in the MW division and a top 10 SMW if he moved up.

As for ppl saying Canelo is a JMW.......get off that shiit......he was barely able to make 155 for his NON TITLE fight vs Lara, which in all accounts should have been for the LMW Championship, but wasnt b/c Canelo couldnt make the wieght.
Canelo is a HUGE JMW, bigger than GGG when you put them side by side, and actually closer to Rubio's, Chavez Jrs, and Murrays size when you look at them vs respective opponents.:think

Sturm had just unofficially lost to Macklin. Sergio returned to action far too quickly after the injuries he suffered during the 12th round against Chavez, Neither were close to their best.

Sturm made his career off gifts, including the gift draw vs Murray.

And Martinez had been feasting on Murray type opponents since his only 2 legit wins vs Williams and a drunkened Pavlik.:think

I've never rated Sturm that highly, and Martinez I do rate very highly, he took a beating in the last round of the Chavez match and hadn't fully recovered, he reinjured his knee from the Chavez fight early in the Murray fight which lead him to being on crutches for like 9 months, Martinez was physically broken down before, during, and after the Murray match.
