Yeah but Kovalev, much like Golovkin, is usually pretty good at keeping himself balanced and in position even when stalking on the offensive and going for a knockout.

Granted he isn't quite Golovkin's equal in footwork or technique, and did get a wee bit careless against Caparello (uncharacteristically) - and does have the past knockdowns against Boone and Atoev whereas GGG hasn't ever to my knowledge been down, AM or pro (?) - but still. Even a light hitter can strike pay-dirt if given the slightest opportunity. You can be technical perfection 99% of your time in the ring, but that one moment you make a mistake...

If he could open Golovkin up to an exchange, which is what Froch specializes in doing, he could get a lucky bomb in. And Froch hits a heck of a lot harder than a Caparello, or Murray. :yep

Murray knocked Martinez down and deserved the win, but Martinez got the home town decision. Murray also beat Sturm.............Golovkin stopped Murray.......................nobody else could do that............Cotto will give up his title rather than fight his mandatory Golovkin.................

Murray was in the best shape of his life for Golovkin. As said, he did have a very long camp and he also left his family behind and went over to South Africa to train at altitude for six weeks too.
