Murray needs to fight Gomez before Khan

Gomez is fighting Ricky Burns at super feather next.

 

He needs to beat an old, fighting above his natural weight Gomez, whilst writhing about the ring in agony from bodyshots and getting cuffed to the canvas to prove he deserves a shot at the mighty Khan?

What an utterly pointless notion.

 

There seems to be an incredible amount of idiots on here at the moment. Blame the credit crunch....

 

Would they fight each other anyway - I always thought those two would be mates.

 

At the end of the day...John Murray is the British champion. A better accolade than any of Khan's inter-muppetry titles.

If Khan loses to Barrera, its an extremely logical fight. If he wins, I can see how he could wriggle away and claim he's onto bigger and better things. We'll see how it pans out.

I think Murray has done more than enough to fight Khan at the moment. If it wasn't for Khan fighting MAB, i think it would be the best fight for him. Prove he's the best in Britain let alone the world.

Accept Murray as a proven prospect, and Mike as the proven respected warrior he is.

 

Hamidi has caused a lot of guys problems, because he's awkward, got good ring smarts, and he's durable. That will cause somebody like Murray who is very basic in his approach problems. He's much better than his record would suggest, and has arguably been on the wrong end of a few rough ones in favour of more touted fighters.

It tells you absolutely nothing about a fight with Amir Khan.
