He's an unknown to a few but he was the first Supermiddle champ in 1984.
Scottish but his family moved to Canada. Had a few tough guy contest s in US, fighting between middle and light heavy.
He also of course went the distance with a young Tommy Hearns.
My question is, how's he fare in the 90 mix of Supermiddle s? Could he do well against..
    Nigel Benn
    Eubank snr
    Robin Reid
    Steve Collins
    Michael Watson
    Etc

He would have got some nice pay days, but he found ways to lose his big fights. Against all those mentioned the only debate would be if he could get to the final bell. Even Reid (at his best) would be too much for the Canadian-Scot.

I think your probably right. I think hrd go the distance with the big names even like Benn and Eubank, but he'd ultimately lose. A Steve Collins fight would be entertaining I imagine.

He was tough and seasoned enough to find himself in the field of contenders for quite awhile (helped by the fact he fought at 160, 168 and 175, thereby expanding his chances) but as mentioned before he usually came up short against the best.

Very tough fighter at his best and he would have caused problems for some contenders.
He would do ok against the ones you listed but I don't think he wins any.

He did very well against Mike Spinks. Collins and Reid would be his best bets.
