Poor mans Ricky Hatton maybe, but Hatton is a world class fighter. Murray is probably the best lightweight in Europe right now.

Too early. Only saved Thaxton from the inevitable but that's not the point Murray was impressive, he has looked better lately after hitting a bit of a flat spot He was throwing nice combinations there and he lets his punches go really well, he spots the opening and throws, very instinctive..
Bull**** stoppage. Thaxton would have probably been stopped but no reason to stop it there. Like others have said, why not stop it in the 2nd when he got wobbled?
In a British title fight one guy gets wobbled and they stop it? Amir Khan was allowed to take punches until he almost had to be peeled off the canvas and that was a non-title fight. I wish referees and judges (O'Connor in particular) wouldn't go into fights already having made up their minds about what's going to happen.
