Just had a look at the press conference pictures and looks like there doing the England v Argentina angle. Would be quite funny if Murray came out with the falklands flag although I don't think he would leave the arena alive after recent boxing events in Argentina. Come to think of it why does martinez keep.picking British opponents :think
Physically, sooner or later, the wheels are going to come off of Sergios wagon...Im hoping that its in the middle of the fight
The Argies are a bunch sensitive ****s when it comes to the Falkands. They still have mass rallies calling for us (the Brits) to give them back where they burn British flags and sing anti-British songs. Martinez said he'd make sure that Murray is made to feel welcome whilst he's in Argentina which is very good of him. Hopefully he can stop any of the Argie media people trying to paint this as "Falklands War" fight. That would just be plain sad and also unfair on Martin who just come to take part in a boxing match.
If hattons any sense he should take 100 Royal Marines a couple of harriers and a nuclear sub with em murray would defo get belt of the corned beef eating *******s then
i would love to see murray win a world tittle like i would any brit but martinez going to **** him up & quick
Martinez wearing an Argentina top with "Maravilla 10" on the back though :yep. Messi, who the ****s he?
We need to see Murray, Macklin and Barker. Macklin obviously thinks he is levels above these two (couldn't be further from the truth) and it would be awesome for British Boxing.
It's true that the Falklands is more of an issue in Argentina than it is over here, but it's hardly like they're all at it - most Argentines know their country has more pressing matters at the moment; like the government providing artificial inflation rates and possibly being thrown out of the G20. A lot of the extremist stuff, like flag burning, and the recent ransacking of a shipping office and whatnot, is thought to be the doing of the government itself, in order to take focus away from their real problems. But I'm glad Martinez has said that. When the fight was announced I was worried that the Falklands would become an "angle", and I'd have lost a bit of respect for him if he'd gone along with it. Sport shouldn't mix with politics.
Me and my mates were discussing this conflict the other day and we came to the conclusion that we should give the Falklands back in exchange for messi as an English citizen lol
The whole recent Falklands debate over there is just their president Cristina Kirchner trying to stir up nationalist feelings and attempting to deflect from the fact that their country is in turmoil when other south american nations like Brazil have flourishing economies at the moment. What a *****! In relation to the fight however, it's a good angle to sell it, whatever they market it as Murray gets conclusively beaten though, don't rate him much above Euro level.
