Murray could do no wrong a few years ago, but fans today have short attention spans and little loyalty, it seems. :huh

I don't think Spada will be easy for murray, and Spada might, just might even win.

How do ye see this one?

I think people aren't interested because, after almost beating Martinez he's completely and utterly ground to a halt. He fought journeyman Khomitsky (and looked ****), an utter JOKE in Tetteh and Max Bursak who is a decent opponent actually. Now he's facing Spada who is ****. He's a **** poor opponent.

After beating Bursak Murray should be facing a top 20 fighter to get in world title contention. Not going up against a bum.

It's another ''so what'' fight for murray.

He'll win comfortably enough probably on points in a pretty uneventful bout.

Hasnt really helped himself by signing with a South African promoter and fighting in Monaco. Hard to get a buzz going in this country or the US, plus I dont think he can travel to the States still? Hard when the big MW names fight out there (Cotto, GGG)

Also didnt help that when he fought on the Matchroom show (Froch v Groves 1?) he looked bang average

I don't think it helped signing with S.African promoters has helped. His profile has dropped off a cliff.SO unless hes making really good money if seems odd.
He Fights in Monaco looked awful a couple of times as well.

He would have been better staying in the UK with Hobson, Hearns, FW anyone really who could get him TV exposure and maybe a shot at a belt. The non entry to the US could also be a bit of a problem but I guess he could take fights in Germany or Australia etc get this one out the way and he really needs to get his route to a belt sorted. Taylor has just picked one up that should be a winnable fight for Murray if he is a top class fighter

This card is on Channel Five so it should garner some attention. Hobson's deal with Boxnation may have ended as a side note.

When he came from nowhere to face Sturm, he became an instant hit. Loads of fans were on here bigging him up no end. In fact I was almost lynched more than once for having the temerity to suggest that Murray perhaps wasn't quite all THAT great....
    How fickle fans are eh?

I remember some on here were saying he's the greatest British fighter of all time. Fact is he is a half decent contender I actually thought he lost on the matchroom Christmas card watching in the pub with the volume off. Hopefully he fights Macklin and gets beat can't deny he's a decent boxer but he fought both Sturm and Martinez at the right time and was probably lucky to get a draw against Sturm didn't see the Martinez fight but in my opinion Martinez is completeley done and it says a lot that Miguel Cotto could dominate and stop him and Murray couldn't when you think it wasn't so long ago Trout dominated Cotto.

Seems like every fighter in history is cursed once they reach 49-0.

    Chavez.. Spada.. Nielsen FFS.
