I have the heavyweight results. Never saw the middle weight results. Can anyone post them here?

One of the lost arts of boxing is radio broadcasting. Those guys were good!

oh man...ain't that the truth....listen to don dunphys blow by blow of marciano v charles 1....that is one of the most perfect things I ever heard....."marciano is unbridled fury here in the 15th !!" :)

I'd love to see another commentator come along to give blow by blow commentary regardless of it being on tv.....but like you say its a lost art form now.

    Wow thanks!

I must say I can't see Greb KO over Zale as Harry did not hit that hard, but I do see Greb UD. I also think Walker UD over Greb is a bit odd as they fought and Greb won.

Sugar Ray's early KO over Fitz seems like the worst call, as it was only 3 rounds.

Thanks again for sharing Doug. From an interest level standpoint, this thread is a 10 out of a 10 for me. I will have to make time to hear some of those broadcasts!

While the men who saw many former greats have passed, their thoughts are recorded for us to hear.

I for one feel Ketchel is tremendously over rated based on the surviving films. The Woroner guys do not!

Perhaps, but he's a rather short middle who looks pretty poor on his two surviving films. I just do not see the power or speed on him. His defense is very poor, and his offensive accuracy is mediocre.

Ketchel's record is a bit uneven. He was KO'd by Papke, lost a news decision to Langford, and lost to Thompson. Never heard of Thompson. He drew to Klaus., who was decent, and of course was out classed by a much bigger Johnson.

Ketchel has quite a few draws, and to be honest some of those draws were vs no name types.

The O'Brien win looks great, but the truth is O'Brien was fading and failed to win much after he meet Ketchel.

You could say the best the fighters he meet all beat him, and some other ones not quite as good drew with him. As such I think he's over rated.
