The Ray Musson VS Jaime Waru fight has been moved forward from December 5th to tonight. Musson and Waru bth agreed to a last minute 4x3 Light-Middleweight contest both were to face of Dec. 5th in a 6x3min contest. Musson wanted a 6 rounder as did Waru but the promoter was only willing to pay them for 4 rounds. Should be a good comeback fight for Ray who will not duck ANYONE after his war with Frank LoPorto 2 weeks ago in Sydney. Ray should be to young and strong for the Veteran Waru, however Waru is tough and been around the block a few times enough to test Ray over 4 Rounds. Im thinking a UD4 for Musson over 6 however I feel Ray would stop him. Ray says he's wanting the KO, but then again he always wants the KO. This may be his last fight at Light-Middle before he moves down to his natural welterweight division. He's keen to fight again on Aussie TV against ANY Aussie opponent.
Musson stopped Waru in the 2nd round, could be seen as a early stoppage but Ray was wobbling Waru with almost every shot he landed. Waru took a couple od nice flush shots and his legs buckled the ref jumped in either way Waru would have kissed the canvas had it been allowed to go on. Nice comeback win for Ray only 2 weeks after his brutal slugfest with LoPorto. And cheers Martin hows things with you mate?
