If anyone doubts the power of GoldenBoy Promotions, this should solidify
their standing as one of the most powerful organizations in sports.

Fortunately, the damage is done. Bernard Hopkins will forever be remembered as a whining p**** who can't take his own medicine.
I can only hope that his next opponent KHTFO and into retirement.

Don't really care much about the belts. The California commission has not ruled yet, and their ruling is what counts.

Its not that strange, a nc is the most fair outcome, gbp should pay people their ppv money back though.

I agree, but there's more chance of hell freezing over.

If they really wanted to show contrition for the debacle, they would, I agree...:good

I know they wont do it, but usually when an event is destroyed for whatever reason they make a refund or give you tickets if its postponed. It happens with music shows and most sports.

One thing for certain, for a couple of PPV fights, I wonder if the PPV will go down because people are annoyed to being ripped by HBO.

First thing is that this fight shouldn't have been PPV anyway. Bernard doesn't draw like that unless he has a Prime Time opponent. Dawson isn't there yet. I don't he has that type of personality.:bbb

The numbers of Pascal vs Hopkins I fight were big (was on Showtime I think), I think its why HBO put it on PPV thinking Hopkins would sell.

Yeah, rematches for controversial bouts are usually good, but their was no history here. It was a plain money grab.

Wasn't that first Pascal / Hopkins fight in Canada? Canadians back their fighters and since you've got a few good ones, all money grubbing promoters and TV execs will look to exploit that...:good

True, before both Pascal fights, both Hopkins and Dawson were saying that after Pascal they will come back to beat Bute.

I would love to see BUTE literally end Bernards career. Not a big fan of his (bad taste from the 1st Andrade fight), but would be his loudest supporter against Hopkins...:bbb
