Must see Cotto interview on Margarito (Cotto disses Cintron lol)

Intereting interview. Even in his native tongue, Cotto seems resolute in not looking past, in any way, the immediate objective: defeating Margarito. He lets everyone else conclude what they will from both the build up to the fight and the aftermath when one will be victor. That's a refreshing attitude from a fighter.

While I commend him for taking steps with his English in an attempt to increase his marketability with Americans, it is clear that he is more comfortable and decidedly more charismatic in Spanish. If he were able to direct some of these rather witty comments at Floyd Mayweather, rather than Kermit Cintron, then things might be further along relevant to a potential bout between the two.

I agree. He comes across as a bright guy and is well reasoned in his responses. I especially enjoyed his quip about how he would not have signed the contract to fight Margarito if he did not believe he could withstand his punching power. You're also correct about his exceptional pace in acquiring English proficiency. His speaking is more passable already, in my opinion, than someone like Pacquiao.
