I understand that there has been a lot of heated debates/discussion about this upcoming fight. By now, all the posters who have put in their 2cents knows what posters are pro-cotto and who is pro-margarito.

regardless of we are for,, i think that when this fight is over, both men should be highly praised. We should stay away from the common disrespect such as saying X fighter was overrated anyways or X fighter was exposed, etc...

The fact is that this is a very dangerous fight for both fighters. This is the kind of fight like the great welterweight battles of the 80's. No matter who loses, it should not take away from their greatness. Win or lose, they will both remain great welterweights. We should praise these 2 guys for taking this fight. hopefully this will only lead to bigger fights.

Going to be a lot of pain and punishment being dealt in this fight regardless of which way it turns out. Much respect to both fighters.

Both of these fighters have my deepest respect, and it doesnt matter who comes out with W on July 26, they should both be praised by boxing fans all over the world for years to come.

Word. I give them both respect because I don't know if I have the guts to face either one of them.

Respect is appropiate for these two fighters for taking this tough fight.

But Margarito is not a great welterweight, and anyone who denies this is overrrating him too much. He's just a guy who beat Kermit Cintron.

You've just expressed the most tenacious misconception regarding Margarito. The fact is he's beed down three times in his pro career: in '96 against Soberanes (liver shot), in '98 against Miguel Gonzalez and in '99 against Danny Perez.

p.s. What's the subject again? Oh yeah, :respect
